Artist's Comments

As promised, here's the painting.

I painted this for the courthouse art contest 2004. XD Entered for 3 years! (2002: 2nd place in mixed media, 2003: 2nd place in painting AND best in show) I won 1st place in painting... >_<; I was upset about the winner of the best in show... I thought that the painting didn't deserve the award. =3=;; It was uber-scary... and pretty crappy. Oh well... better luck next time.

I took this painting along with my other artwork (including CGed works) to show the art director. He said that he was very impressed with my work--both traditional and graphics. ^^ He wants to recommend me for the academic scholarship (which would cover full tuition). XD He showed some of his students muh artwork. They told me that I'm really good.

I got lost going to the college though... never thought the building was that confusing. =3=; A dude in his early or late 20's offered to take me to the right building when I was asking for help in the student services building. >.>; He had a really cool earring on. lol! But a really nice old lady showed us the way. ^-^

Done with crappy Wal-mart watercolor... as usual. u.u;

That is simply.. wow. I can't find the words to express how beautiful this is. The color scheme is wonderfully chosen. The background is lovely, and the mood and everything are perfectly done. I'm very, very impressed with this piece of work. :) Hope you don't mind if I add it to my favorites, yes?

:+fav: Awesome job, and congrats on the awards! :D Keep up the great work!

It looks really nice if it is painted by "Crappy Wal-Mart watercolours". ^_~ That means you are incredibly talented, because you make uber-cheapie watercolour look professional. :kitty:

for a painting, its so much better than I could ever hope to achieve, but i'm still going to give you 1 'negative' comment on it, there is a thick, black line where the girls face is overlapping the guys.. why?

aside from that, It's great, though, unbalanced, it's good for overall flow, legs < tree branches < back to them again.. Excellent work. color scheme is good, all the same value, and tones. I like it alot
